Battle of the undead

For "Battle of the Undead" 

19 year old Jake Quinton Jr.  Or "Q" as his friends call him, is studying to be what he calls a "deconstructionist". In other words, he specializes in demolition. While he feels right at home with a sledgehammer in his hand, a baseball bat is a little easier to carry around. He is a quick thinker and can usually keep himself out of dangerous situations. If he needs to fight, he can, and he isn't afraid to. When Hell literally broke loose, he was picking up his seven year old sister, Sara, from dance class. Sara isn't afraid of any of the creepy crawlies, but Q will do anything he can to keep her safe, even though she's a typical annoying little sister. Sara is a champion at hide and seek, and is happy when Q let's her "press the button" to set off detonation charges, or any other trap he's rigged up to keep their hideouts safe. Whenever she 'helps' Q makes sure Sara has her safety gear on. He's always been more protective than their parents.
Unfortunately for Q, there isn't a lot of dynamite just hanging around for his use and his supplies from training are running low.

The location and status of their parents or brother is unknown at this time.

My notes: As for zombie stories, my favorite part has always been the human aspect of it. The most heartbreaking stories are the ones where the characters actually care for each other instead of the ones where everyone is out for their own self preservation and nothing else. I always like the idea that the characters belonged somewhere else before the 'event' and don't exist solely for the purpose of zombie food/killing.

Art-wise, Tried to keep it loose with the lines on this one. I wanted it to be messy and loose. Used different references for anatomy and pose (fav.me/d2t3mpq) purposes. Feel it worked pretty well: They look human! Yay. XD
